The International Welcome Programme is designed to help new international students settle into life at USW and feel confident as they begin their journey.
Taking place on 9 February from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, the day will start in TRB001. Students will attend a welcome talk and take part in informative sessions covering key topics such as immigration rules related to work and driving in the UK. There will also be an awareness session and a speed friending activity, giving students the chance to meet new people and start building connections.
In the afternoon, the programme will move to the Treforest Students Union building, where an information fayre will be held. Students will have the opportunity to learn about clubs and societies within the Students Union, as well as other important university services that will support them throughout their time at USW.
Lunch will be provided by the Students Union, and fun activities will be delivered by Native, creating a welcoming and engaging environment for everyone. This programme is a great opportunity to get informed, make friends and feel part of the USW community from day one.
Supported by Student Life, Immigration Advice Team and EDI Team.
