The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an all-student meeting that occurs once per academic year.
AGM allows students to have sight of the Students' Union's, accounts, and associations (for example, our association with BUCS). It is also a chance for any member (student) to put forward proposals to change Union policy or mandate the Union to work on a specific topic for the year. These proposals are then questioned by students before being voted on by all students present. If approved, the proposal is enacted straight away by the Union. AGM also offers an opportunity for students to scrutinise the work of elected officers and to ensure that they are fulfilling the duties to which they were elected. The Union’s Board of Trustees also submits a report which means you will be able to see how decision-making at every level of the Students’ Union has impacted you, the student body.
The Agenda, Papers and any Deadlines for Proposals/Questions can be found here:
Please note this event must have 100 consistent members in order for the AGM to be quorate. Registration is required to ensure there is enough uptake for the event to go ahead
